The mission of the Farmers Market Federation of New York is to support and promote the viability of farmers markets through innovative services, programs, and partnerships that maximize the benefits of markets to sellers, buyers, and communities.

Supporting New York Farms

We are deeply invested in helping farmers stay farmers and ensuring aspiring farmers are financially able to become farmers. Promoting SNAP supports this mission because it creates a larger customer base for farms, which then potentially generates more income so they can continue doing their important work.

We are committed to ensuring everyone in New York has access to fresh and local food. With SNAP benefits, customers can not only eat healthier, but also save money.

Through education and resource-sharing among SNAP users, farmers markets, and farmers, we are removing barriers that may prevent SNAP users from purchasing from local farms.
